PM Ensemble Gear
In Chapter Four of my book Coaching a Popular Music Ensemble, I suggest three sound system packages as well as a rhythm section package. These lists are comprised of gear I've used on the gig and in the classroom, so I have first-hand knowledge of everything listed here. Approximately $4750
This package will allow the band to rehearse and perform small gigs with the ability to mic up to four vocalists and mix from the side of the stage.
Approximately $8175
This package will outfit a four-piece rhythm section of drums, bass, guitar, and keys.
Approximately $12,850
This package will allow the band to rehearse and perform small to medium sized gigs with the ability to mic the entire band and mix from either the side of the stage, at the front of house (FOH) position, or anywhere in the venue via a WiFi-enabled tablet.

This package will allow the band to rehearse and perform a variety of gigs short of an outdoor festival with the ability to mic the entire band and mix from either the side of the stage, at the front of house (FOH) position via a WiFi-enabled tablet.
